Provo River - Weber River and other
Local Waters -- Park City Fly Shop Guide Service specializes in fly fishing the local fisheries surrounding the Park
City area. There is a great variety of fly fishing locally, including Blue ribbon stretches of the Provo River,
which is one of the best Brown Trout fisheries in the country. This fabulous wild trout fishery is hard to beat. With fish
populations ranging from 3,000-5,000 fish per mile of River, you are practically guaranteed to catch fish.
This is a great river for the beginner and has new challenges around each river bend for the intermediate to expert fly fisher.
The river is divided into three distinct sections, the Upper Provo, the Middle Provo and the Lower Provo. The average trout
(Browns, Rainbows and Cutthroats) measure 12-18 inches in length, although it is also home to some real hogs, some measuring
24 inches or better. This is our home river, located just 10 minutes from our shop in Park City. We are the Provo River specialists.
There are also many high mountain streams and other Tailwater Fisheries including Current Creek,Strawberry River,Weber
River available in this area, as well as Park City Fly Shop's own secret hot spots.Our guide service has been

Sections of the Green River. We focus primarily on the Upper Green River in Wyoming, just 2.5 hours from our shop. This fishery
has abundant wildlife, including moose, deer, antelope, beavers and many species of bird life. It is also home to some very
large trout, averaging 18-20 inches in length, with fish in the 20-25 inch class not uncommon.This
River offers the seasoned angler a chance at a trout of a lifetime,without the crowds of other trophy trout Rivers.The fish
grow very fat in the Green more impressive than the length is the massive girth of the trout.This section
of the Green is very demanding on the angler but the rewards are great.We also fish and guide smaller Rivers that are located
within a hour of the green,making for a great 2 to 4 day fishing trip. We recommend a 2-4 day outing on these incredible fisheries.We
have fished and guided these Rivers for many years and know them very well,insuring you will have a great fly fishing trip
with our guides. The Green River is best fished by drift boat which we use at Park City Fly Shop Guide Service.Walk-n-Wade
